The MDCC is looking for a Language Specialist to join the team.

We are currently looking for an energetic, mature and independent candidate to fill the role of Language Specialist here at the MDCC.
We are looking for someone who is fluent in the Mi’kmaw language and who loves the idea of sharing this knowledge with everyone.

As an ideal candidate, you will be enthusiastic, a team player, and willing to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment. You will hold a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work and knowledge, in education, history, Canadian Studies, anthropology, or related field. You will have knowledge of and experience working with, Mi’kmaw Elders and other community experts, and will have a minimum of one-year experience working in cultural or community research or community educational outreach.
