The Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre (MDCC) has launched a capital campaign to raise $12 million in private funds, with $7 million already secured. The Centre aims to preserve and share Mi’kmaw heritage, offering educational programs and serving as a community hub. Significant contributions include $1 million from the J & W Murphy Foundation and $2 million from the Estate of Jeannine Deveaux.
