Artifacts of our history and life are found throughout Mi’kma’ki—even at the highest elevations. This video tells the story of one such artifact.

In this video, Clifford Paul of the Unama’ki Institute of Natural Resources shares a story about a recent artifact find in the Cape Breton Highlands. The point was found in the area of MacMillan Flowage by a Mi’kmaw hunter. The point is made of Ingonish Island rhyolite, and dates to the Archaic Period, c. 4500 years before present.
